A Rush To Nowhere is four years in the making following the success of her 2022 debut album An Orange Colored Day, which earned praise from The New York Times, Pitchfork, The FADER and i-D, who said the album “breathes affirmations of an imaginative utopia to life and begs us to imagine what freedom feels like”. A devout writer, Arima approaches her music with a curious wonder, picking loose threads on our relationships to mortality, loss, family, love and time. Throughout 2024 and 2025, she released one-off songs that she used as catharsis to release herself of the emotions she felt watching the state of the world around her, like on “Oh God” featuring Mereba and “Really Tired”, which coincided with the conclusion of her run touring alongside friend Ravyn Lenae.

Arny Margret never expected anyone to hear her songs. A homebody from a small fishing town in Iceland’s Westfjords, she was working in her family’s bakery when she serendipitously met producer Guðm. Kristinn Jónsson (Kiddi) in Reykjavík in 2021. They recorded 20 songs in two days, forming the foundation of her 2022 debut, they only talk about the weather – a tender, disarming introduction to her introspective indie folk. After touring globally with artists like Leif Vollebekk, Of Monsters and Men, Blake Mills, and Wilco, Margret traveled to the U.S. to record her second album, I Miss You, I Do, with producers including Brad Cook and Josh Kaufman. Pushing beyond her comfort zone, she embraced fuller arrangements and new collaborators, transforming homesickness and uncertainty into expansive, emotionally resonant songs. The album reflects growth – balancing melancholy with lightness – as Margret steps into a broader sound and a more self-assured artistic voice.

Influences range from Hobbes (of Calvin and Hobbes fame) to Robert Moog, with plenty of stops in between. The latest release is Á floti (2025), available digitally and on vinyl. By the time you’re reading this, Gosi is hopefully working on the next album. Or perhaps two albums. The exact number depends largely on how you define “finished.” As for the name: while Gosi is also the Icelandic name for Pinocchio, in this instance it refers to the Jack playing card. Any resemblance to fictional wooden boys with questionable relationships to the truth is purely coincidental.

A cult artist and London soul pioneer, Jamie has built a devoted following on songs like Night Air and Sharpness. 3, 10, Why, When is Jamie’s third album, one that wasn’t supposed to happen. After Mirrorwriting (2011) and the Mercury-nominated Making Time (2015), he disappeared. “I was haunted by the question of what’s worth saying?” The answer came through working with Swedish producer Martin Terefe at Eastcote Studios. “He sort of tricked me into making an album,” Jamie says. “We made one song, then another, then when we had ten we just said that’s the album.” Strange, spiky percussion gives way to lush strings. 3am thoughts sit alongside deep currents of love and belonging. Singing the torment becomes the remedy for that same torment. “I don’t really know how to explain this music. It’s extraordinary to me that it exists at all.” Released on Jamie’s own label, Also Can: Malaysian for “that works too.”

Harlem-raised artist Liim has shared his highly anticipated debut album Liim Lasalle Loves You — out now via THREE TIMES LOUDER. The 17-track project arrives alongside a new music video for “For The Both Of Us”, which finds Liim meditating on first love’s growing pains (“You know I adore you baby/In your Dior, couture, and all these things that I cannot afford cause I am young”) across the song’s sunny, synth-driven instrumental. That theme runs deep throughout his first full-length offering, a raw and reflective coming-of-age statement that explores the emotional complexity of growing into adulthood through the lens of shifting relationships, deep friendships, and hard-earned life lessons. The album follows recent singles “Why Why”, “Mezcal”, “Sahara Freestyle”, and “Older Than Me”, the latter of which was chosen by Pitchfork for their weekly Selects Playlist. In addition to his recent co-sign from Tyler, The Creator, Liim Lasalle Loves You arrives on the heels of Liim’s 2024 debut EP Petty Pete and standalone tracks like “Edward 40 Handz”. Raised in Harlem and now based in Brooklyn, he’s quickly made a name for himself for his unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and alternative soundscapes, which embody a patchwork of life experiences that highlight his New York City heritage. Despite attracting collaborators across fashion, music, and art, he remains close to the ground — his wisdom far surpassing his years. Still only 21 years old, he’s already modeled for Gucci and Supreme and has also recently earned critical praise from outlets like Pigeons & Planes, who hailed him as an artist whose music would “fit right in on a mix with artists like Blood Orange, Pharrell, and Steve Lacy.

SCAM debuted their live show at Iceland Airwaves in fall of 2025 and immediately got booked for Roskilde Festival, catapulting them to a cult status in the local Reykjavík scene. The multilayered, high intensity electro-pop project of Icelandic composers and music producers Herdís Stefánsdóttir and Salka Valsdóttir started when classically trained musician and film composer Stefansdottir met Salka as she was performing her music at a small venue in Reykjavik. Inspired by the sound of Valsdóttir’s unique music production, the two began exchanging ideas as long-distance penpals, trading music ideas over email. This creative dialogue evolved over a few years ultimately forming SCAM. SCAM is an attempt to carve out space for the musicians resulting in a larger than life sound that is Irresistible, lush yet gritty, feminine yet hard: a collision between techno, gabber, metal, pop and large cinematic arrangements

What followed was Spouses. Based on a horse-breeding farm in South Iceland, Durksen wrote and recorded the debut album, I Could Be Your Dog (released 22 May 2026 via Kálfholt Records), largely alone in a small loft above a stable (Kálfholt Studios). Mixed by Finn Howells at Alan Moulder’s A.M.C. Studios, the album blends the guitar-driven energy of The Bends-era Radiohead with folk and folktronica influences. Songs from the record have received support from The Reykjavik Grapevine, RÚV, The Line of Best Fit, BIRP!, and For The Rabbits.

Victoryland is the Brooklyn-based project of musician Julian McCamman and Daniel Howard. Their label debut, My Heart Is A Room With No Cameras In It, released January 23, 2026, via Good English, is a triumphant, despondent, and ultimately fun experimental pop-rock album. My Heart wrangles with heavy subject matter (love, disconnection, sexual frustration, emptiness, etc.), but the terminal statement of the record is about the cleansing nature of pop music. That, if a song can force you to “bliss out” over a hook or a loop, or even make you dance, it can be the spoonful of sugar to swallow the hard pill with; this is what Victoryland strives to do: package the most exhausting realities of life, love, and the search for connection in a world starved of it, into a fun 2-5 minutes, and for the runtime of Victoryland’s first major statement, you might even feel like you’re not alone.
